Scout or Service Projects

Some large, some small, all important

• We need to develop and build an ADA ramp to the Stockdick house. That project will be much more work and will require some specific building guidelines, materials, etc... (project adopted)

• Install an additional handrail to the Wright Museum.

• Paint the porch and steps at the Old Katy Post Office. (project adopted)

• Construct with old lumber an old-fashioned workbench in the Stockdick shed.

• Paint any side of theOld Katy Post Office. (front adopted)

• Install heavy rolling casters on the base of several display cases in the Wright Museum. This will involve unloading heavy display cases (with KHS help and supervision), turning them over, installing heavy duty casters, cleaning and painting the base of the cabinet and then putting them back in place. It is good work for smaller groups of older boys.

You are also welcome to visit the park and suggest your own ideas, we're open to other options. We love to work with scouts to earn their Eagle rank and will do everything we can to make your project successful.

More projects posted as they come up, you may suggest your own ideas. We can also award hours for community  service for time spent as a docent at the park,  some commitment of time will be required, but it is a safe and comfortable way to earn hours required for honor societies and more.

We are grateful for community support -
