1896 First school is built

1900 Galveston storm destroys much of Katy - Saloon
1901 First rice crop

1909 First brick schoolhouse is built at the corner of Ave C and 6th Street
1918 KatyISD established
1919 Depot enlarged

1929 Electricity is installed
